The Cleveland Museum of Art seeks exceptional undergraduate candidates for two paid internship positions in the Curatorial division. Candidates must be currently enrolled in an accredited institution and be willing to devote 160 hours to the 12 week project during the summer term, 2010. The stipend is $3000.
Applicants should have strong art historical backgrounds to assist curators in one of four areas; Contemporary Art (1960-present), American Painting and Sculpture (1700-1960), European Paintings and Sculpture (1500-1800), or Art of the Americas (Precolumbian and Native North American). Candidates should submit a resume of employment and education with a list of relevant courses taken, a 500 word essay indicating career goals, interest in museum work and reasons for applying, and a writing sample.
