Inventive Impressions

18th- and 19th-Century French Prints
August 26-October 28, 2001

This is a special chance to see these light-sensitive images because they are only exhibited every few years to help preserve and protect them.
--Jane Glaubinger, Curator of Prints

This exhibition is designed to complement the exhibition French Master Drawings from the Collection of Muriel Butkin (August 26-October 28, 2001). Inventive Impressions will feature more than 100 French prints from the permanent collection of the Cleveland Museum of Art by such artists as Jean-Honoré Fragonard, Jean-Baptiste-François Boucher, Edgar Degas, and Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec.
