The Cleveland Museum of Art

Painting and Drawing Society

The Painting and Drawing Society supports the departments of European Paintings, American Paintings, and Drawings by raising funds for the acquisition of works of art for the Cleveland Museum of Art.

Members of the Society collect European and American paintings and drawings by artists ranging from old masters to modernists. Established in 1998, the Painting and Drawing Society organizes a variety of educational programs for its members, including slide lectures, gallery talks and visits to museums and art dealers both in the United States and Abroad in order to stimulate interest in paintings and drawings, to educate members, and to encourage collecting.
